    Diploma in Computer Application

    Full Form of DCA is Diploma in Computer Application.

    DCA is a one-year having two semesters under graduate Program offered by different Universies in India.

    The DCA Computer program offers a comprehensive grasp of computer Science. It encompasses various topics including computer operating , programming, ERP ,Financial Accounting ,web designing and many more. The objective of this course is to provide students with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in the IT industry.

    Individuals who have completed their 12th are eligible to apply for the DCA program. Students from various backgrounds like Arts, commerce, science can pursue DCA courses. 

    Upon completion of the DCA program, students have various career options to choose from, including Web Designer, web programmer, jr Software Developer, and Computer operator. 

    To enroll for this course, a person must 12th pass. 

    The course aimed to provide technical, communication and professional skills for professional experience in the sector of computer science.

    DCA is a One year(two semester ) Program ,this course is offered by different universities in india, every university has different syllabus.     UNIT-I

    Brief history of development of computers, Computer system concepts, Computer  system characteristics, Basic components of a computer system - Control unit, ALU,   Input/Output, semiconductor Memory functions and characteristics, memory - RAM,  ROM, EPROM, PROM and other types of mempry, Capabilities and limitations,   Generations of computers, Analog & Digital & Hybrid Computers, General & Special  Purpose computers, Types of computers— Micro, Mini, Mainframe and  Supercomputers, Characteristics and area of Uses.Personal Computer (PCs-evolution of PCs, configurations of PCs, Pentium and Newer, PCs specifications and main characteristics, Types of PCs- Desktop, Laptop, Notebook, Palmtop, PDA etc.
